And last but not least, giving each other pats on the back after a long day :)First off, many apologies for not updating this blog, especially about what's happening. We've been busy. ANYway, Christmas is coming(!!) and look what's up!
It's the one and only Project Christmas 2008!! *cheers* It's going to be something different from what we've been having for the past years, so come join us!
Two enthusiastic groups from a college and a university will be joining us for presentation at various places which includes malls, homes and hospitals. Presentation will be on the first two second and third weekends in December, so make sure you make those dates free; presenting or not, just come! :)
Practice for Project Christmas officially started yesterday (14th November 2008). AFC members would be aware of it if you guys checked your mail! :)
Anybody can join this. Yeahp. Anybody.
Practices will be on every Friday from now on, unless if we cancel it. We will definitely notify you guys if it's canceled. Or else you can give us a call or email to confirm anything! Please bring your 'survival kit' and please wear proper attire i.e. sports shoes and sports attire.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly..
Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw.. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off! 
MORAL : Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up. Remember these five simple rules:
1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less from people but more from God.
As most of you should know, AFC went to Charisma Assembly, Segamat 2 weeks ago and conducted a mini bootcamp for the youths there from 30th August to 1st September. Yeah, we spent Merdeka there! :p
So that few days there was pretty eventful. On our devotions. we highlighted these 3 parts: Who we were - Dead in Sin on Day 1, Who we are - Alive in Christ on Day 2, and finally, What we do - Created for good on Day 3. And having devotions in small groups was really a plus, I must say. ;)
Other than that, we also had dance. Just 2 days of dance training and the campers are off to dance for the Lord! We had 2 presentations on Sunday (morning service and a night event), and the campers really did a good job with their dances and skits.
Camp, of course, will not be completed without making new friends and the fair share of fun that we all had! :)
A big thank you to Charisma Assembly for having AFC over! And also for those who took the responsibility of making this camp a success. Thank you!
And one more thing. For those of you who went and brought your cameras, do feel free to upload pictures at our Facebook group so everyone else can see them. :)
As you know we'll be heading down to Segamat on the 29th of August, so before we leave, we need to prepare! And so these coming AFC Meets will be used to do the "packing" of the things we'll need to bring to Segamat with us.

Remember the bad and good news we learnt last meeting ? And the homework given you ? Say 'yes' because this week, we will be checking our homework together !
As you guys know, AFC had an outreach at the Kajang Anglican Church from the 26-28th of May. That church had organized a dance camp and had invited us over to conduct the dance training sessions.
A group of about 5 to 6 of us went there on the 26th and the 27th to teach them 4 dances in 2 sessions each day. On the 28th, there was a rehearsal in the morning and at night, a presentation night where the campers had their parents to come and also others. On the presentation night, the campers presented the 4 songs they learnt and AFC presented 2 songs, along with an evangelistic sermon by one of their pastors. It was an evangelistic event.
During the dance sessions, we had the opportunity to share Christ with the campers when we explained the meaning of the songs they were learning. The song "We are the reason" that we presented was also meaningful and appropriate as it was presented at the end of the sermon (which was an evangelistic one) on the presentation night. We had a good time of fun and fellowship among ourselves and also with the campers.
The dance trainers had put in a lot of effort to train the campers in a very short time. Also, the dancers from AFC presented well. We want to thank all who were involved in this outreach, including the ones who helped out and provided transport.
