AFC Meet 2 May 2008

Hey guys!

We've been very busy around here, what about you guys?
I know it's exam season, but do try and make it for our outreaches.

So far, in our ARMOR of GOD series, we've covered the BELT of TRUTH, the BREASTPLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS and our FEET FITTED with the READINESS that comes from the GOSPEL of PEACE.

Take a wild guess what we're gonna be doing this week.
[Even better, flip open your bibles to Ephesians 6 to check it out =) ]

Anyway, we'll also be checking out these three (plus plus a few more) guys cos they're hot (for the Lord)!

AFC Meet 25 April 08

Hey everyone!

Anyway, this Friday, we're gonna continue our series on the ARMOR of GOD.

Hey guys!

We were doing all the right things on Friday...
We listened to the right things preached to us from the Word of God!

And we practiced DOING the right things too, with some help from our regular AFC members!

We felt the earth move under our feet, we felt the sky tumbling down...
which is why you need the TRUTH, so you don't stumble and fall as the earth shakes and the wind blows.

AFC Meet 11 April 08

Hey everyone!

There's AFC meet as usual this coming Friday and this week, in our series of The ARMOR of GOD, we'll be zooming in on the BELT of TRUTH!This week, we'll also be practicing our drama skills in an interesting way [it's a secret! So come n find out!] and help us help you exercise your face muscles...God bless and see you there!

We had fun at last week's AFC Meet: check out the pictures in the post and the gallery!

But just cos you weren't there, doesn't mean you have to miss out!

Here is a copy of the ARMOR of GOD handout; you can click on it for a larger image, save it and print it out! There are no answers [and we're not gonna post them up =P] but you can read the passage [Ephesians 6:10-18] and try to answer the questions yourselves and come see us on Friday 11.04.2008 and we'll help you out with anything you don't get. The ARMOR of GOD

Starting things off, we had some of Father Abraham's children come up and perform for us...
Then we had some "stand up" comedy...
Haha, a time of praise and worship, we sang the theme song for the day "Stand up, stand up for Jesus"...
Then, we feasted...
So we learnt how not to be "chickens" and putting on the ARMOR of GOD so that we can stand against the devil's eeevil plans.

This meet is actually the introduction to a series called "The ARMOR of GOD" that we'll be running every week with our usual creative arts practices. So come join us for the next meet [Friday 11.04.2008] as we discover more to protecting ourselves from harm!

Remember to bring your Survival Kit [Bible, stationery and notebook] with you every week yeah!
